All the clutter that started out in the garage started collecting on the woodpile.
Things got out of hand after I got a really good deal on a bunch of seasoned cherry. I could not use the mill, and that meant I needed to do something ASAP.
My new wood rack uses 2x4 studs to form a frame. Just minimal sawing is required. All the boards I was able to get at the local hardware store were slightly warped so I had to plane the bottom of the boards.
Since I am working out of a converted garage I made sure that the woodpile could be accessed from the outside by opening the garage door. A little awkward in the wintertime but it dramatically improves storage and access to small pieces.
