However, eventually I would like to use the active ballast to have the AUV be able to glide over large distances and Rays don\u2019t really glide through the water in the right way. <\/p>\n<p>So right now I am thinking I will use the general design of a small shark. After some quick measurements though I\u2019m going to blow out its belly to be more like a grey whale. That should still give more storage and decent flow over the frame. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.hhhh.org\/joeboy\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Bigbelly.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hhhh.org\/joeboy\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/11\/Bigbelly.jpg\" alt=\"Bigbelly\" width=\"2693\" height=\"920\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1896\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I am toying about adding two smaller fins \u2013 if I am right it could help with glide stability \u2013 but man it does not look weird. I will probably ditch the two fins, but keep the long thin tail.
