If you're on the East side of Lake Washington, you'll have to get over to
Broadway avenue on Capitol Hill first. If you live on the West side, you
probably already know how to get to Broadway, so skip this first part.
From Bellevue and the greater Eastside area:
- Get on SR-520 Westbound, and drive almost all the way to the
end of the freeway. Take the Roanoke St. exit. This is
almost exactly the same as the I-5 North exit, but slightly
sooner.
- You'll find yourself almost immediately at an intersection. This
is Roanoke St. Turn right and stay in the right-hand lane.
- The next light is 10th Ave. Turn right again, and drive up the hill.
- Proceed South on 10th and follow the main drag which will become Broadway.
Ok. Now that you're on Broadway:
- Proceed South to Pike St.
- Turn left on Pike, and find the convenient parking lot on the
North side of the street, between 10th and 11th Ave. This is a pay lot,
and cost $4.00 for an evening at the time of this writing. Feel free to
park elsewhere.
- Walk back to 10th Ave, cross the street, and turn right. You're
almost there!
- Walk up to Pine St. and turn left. Just a few yards more, and on
your left you'll find an entrance to the building. Enter, go up
the stairs, and there on your left will be the entrance to the ballroom.
Also, on 10th Ave. there is another entrance to the building
containing the ballroom. If you follow the above directions you'll
walk right past it. Feel free to take this entrance instead, it just
means a slightly more convoluted path through the building itself to
get to the ballroom. Just go upstairs and follow the music; you can't
miss it.
